We envision, by 2015, one million self-initiated small peer groups studying together face-to-face, developing deep competencies for global citizenship, changemaking and social innovation, taking action in their local communities, and participating in discussions in global courses; supported by a global peer-to-peer network of curriculum specialists, course organizers, and local facilitators in the community; a system of open assessment based on merit badges, peer evaluations, and ranks, which can be earned by anyone, anywhere and can be used to gain university credit, alternative certification, admission, or jobs; and built by and for socially-conscious innovators, leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers.
