GBSN Student Ambassadors Workspace

Workspace Thumbnail

This workspace is for official GBSN Student Ambassadors to collaborate with each other and with GBSN.

The GBSN Student Ambassador is the first point of contact that GBSN has with a member school's student body. The Student Ambassador advocates for GBSN and its mission on campus and advises GBSN on student activities and campus involvement. A GBSN Student Ambassador should display a strong commitment to using business for social good. Through planning events, networking sessions, and meetings with key faculty and staff members, Student Ambassadors raise awareness of strengthening management education for emerging markets as well as develop creative and innovative approaches to spread the word about GBSN and its work.

How will you engage with GBSN as Student Ambassador?

Perhaps the first event Student Ambassadors can collaborate on is to plan a GBSN event for Global Entrepreneurship Week November 15-21.  What should we do?  We could host a webinar with GBSN member students.  Any ideas?

Jacqueline Lee  , Tue, 26 Oct 2010 12:49PM EDT

I agree with the webinar idea! In addition us as students can promote the webinar to relevant student organizations on campus - for example Thunderbird's Entrepreneurship Association. GBSN can invite key speakers.

Thank you Jacqueline!  We will definitely be highlighting different speakers and different topics each month.  If you have a suggestion for a theme or a speaker, please let me know!

In the meantime I would like to set up different workgroups to help support GBSN activities and programs around those topics.  I am also setting up individual workspaces for those to collaborate on those topics.  Some of the ideas for workgroups are: Entrepreneurship, Research and Publications, Agribusiness, Health Management, Marketing, Finance, Consulting, International Development, Environment/Green MBAs.   I would also like regional focus groups (Latin America/Europe, etc).  Leave me a comment (or send me a message) on this site to let me know what you are most interested in and I will add you to the workgroup.  Are you interested in leading a discussion for a group?  Let me know that as well!

Thank you to those who attended the GBSN Student Ambassador webinar on Wednesday, November 17.  We will be preparing for a second webinar for those who were unable to attend (December 15).  For those who attended, what recommendations can you give for the next webinar?   Are there any areas we should focus on?  Please let us know!
