Guy Pfeffermann

Mr. Pfeffermann joined the World Bank’s Young Professionals Program in December 1966. He served as Chief Economist for the Latin America and Caribbean Region from 1979-87 and Chief of Debt and Macroeconomic Adjustment division from 1987-88. He was the Director of the Economics Department and Chief Economist for the International Finance Corporation from 1988-2003. Since 2003, he has served as the Director of the Global Business School Network, originally with the International Finance Corporation and as an independent organization since 2007. He retired from the World Bank in 2006. From 2000-2003 he was also an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. From 2003-2007, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Giving Foundation. He is currently on the Advisory Board of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS).

Page Schindler Buchanan serves as Communications & Media Officer for GBSN. Previously, she worked in Santa Barbara, California as an advocate for reproductive health issues with Planned Parenthood and as program manager for a nonprofit capacity-building organization. She is an active volunteer in the DC community, cooking with Capital Area Food Bank and Miriam's Kitchen, and addressing financial literacy with Capital Area Asset Builders. Page holds a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master's degree in Media Psychology and Social Change from Fielding Graduate University.
